About the Event

" I have lived in Maine my entire life! I live on a small hobby farm with chickens, ducks, turkeys, sometimes pigs, dogs, cats and rabbits. We also have bees and harvest our own delicious honey! I have been a beekeeper for two years and consider myself an advanced beginner as there is always something new to learn!

This class is all about going over the basics of beekeeping to get you started in your own backyard. We will be going over things such as bee life cycles, equipment, and pest management." - Shilo
